This doesn't reflect on the post office it self, rather their delivery staff. I'm not sure if this person has some sort of vendetta against me personally or not. However, they are always leaving notes in our mailboxes indicating service will be stopped if numbers aren't posted on mailbox when they are already clearly posted on each house. Recently they refused delivery because a car was parked three feet from the box ( I measured it) I know they refused because it was indicated that the reciptical was BLOCKED yet the next day they delivered the package to the front door. Aren't theses people supposed to be public servants. Our's sure isn't. We sure do miss the person that serviced us before and desperately wish they would come back. Just thought you would like to know.......
Mailbox will be empty for 2-3 days straight then will be overstuffed with mail.
We were attending my son's football game when a package was attempted to be delivered. Originally it was coming via UPS but instead they dropped it at the post office. I called that Saturday concerned because it contained parts to repair my husband's truck and they were closed. We needed these parts so he could go to work on Monday and the lady brought them back out to us!
The New Market post office keeps odd hours around holidays and always closes early on Wednesdays. I always call before I make a trip, just to ensure that they are open. However, the service is fantastic and they always greet you with a smile!
The USPS has a simple job to COMPLETE the task concerning my mailbox.Deliver the mail and PICK UP the mail. I'm assuming delivery is a given because I guess I typically receive mail but it is beyond me why I can't get my outgoing mail picked up !! FLAG FLAG FLAG FLAG it just doesn't get any easier than that!! It's random but enough to be a nuisance. When I place a piece of mail in the box and RAISE THE FLAG the least I expect is the mail is picked up.I REALIZE that socially the world and mail itself is leaning toward electronical avenues but "snail mail" keeps people employed and mouths fed so you would think rural route workers could simply do the easy task at hand and be grateful for having a job.Anyway a note to my mail carrier: IF MY FLAG IS UP PLEASE PICK UP MY MAIL !! Please note I gave a 1 star because 0 stars wasn't available.
